Artist Bio
Maci Catalano Scheuer lives and paints in Camden, South Carolina. She
received her initial art instruction from Mary Baldwin College and
Columbia College, and continues her training at Studio Incammanati
headquartered in Philadelphia. Many private and corporate collections
include her work. She has been featured in “Art Galleries &
Artists of the South”, 2006. Scheuer was commissioned to paint the
portrait of deceased South Carolina State Senator Donald Holland that
now hangs in and is part of the permanent collection of the South
Carolina Senate Chamber.
Artist’s statement: I strive
to keep my work communicative and honest. At times though it may be
whimsical or metaphorical, it is born of my experiences and
idiosyncrasies. I struggle to keep it true to my perspective. The aim
is to have each piece clearly convey some thought, emotion, or mood.
